Ministries

Weekly Meeting:

Since the establishment of Upper Room Ministries in 2007, the weekly Praise and Worship meeting has been taking place! The meeting is done on Wednesdays for around 90 minutes, mainly praise and worship, a short message and prayers for the people and the elders. Since the establishment of this ministry, the anointing of the Holy Spirit has been very well felt. The Lord has used this meeting to touch many lives and change many hearts.

Revival Meetings:

In 2007, Andre & Marie Mobarak met Evangelist Andres Bissoni (www.abm.cc) in the USA. This meeting was a divine one! The Mobarak’s shared with Andres about the newly established ministry, and invited Andres to come to the Holy Land, and so it was! During these revival meetings, URM managed to gather hundreds of believers from different churches all across the Holy Land; in Galilee, the West Bank (Palestinian Authority Areas) and Jerusalem. Miracles, signs and wonders took place every day during these meetings.

During June 2010, URM had their first revival meeting outside the Holy Land, as the elders Eli Habash, Andre Mobarak, and Simon Azazian made their way to the United Kingdom. The meetings were an encouragement as elders shared about their experience and the work of God in Jerusalem among the Palestinian Christians.

Local Praise and Worship Ministry:

Praise and Worship is a very important part of URM, and the Lord has placed a great anointing on this. In Dec 2009, URM completed the recording of our first praise and worship album with the voice of singer Louiza Kort. The Album was given the name: “You are Glorious”. 80% of the songs recorded have been written and composed by local believers. The aim of this ministry is to adopt local Christian singers to produce albums. URM supports the singer by its own worship team, covers the expenses of the recording and deals with all arrangements related to copyrights and distribution.

Basketball Team:

The aim of this ministry is to connect with people through sports while sharing the love of Christ. For the past two years, and almost on weekly bases, URM has been gathering basketball lovers and keeping them encouraged! URM also plans to take this ministry a bit further by competing with other teams in order to widen the circle of outreach.
